Remember that Gastroenterologists in the medical team will cross over and deal with similar conditions, but surgeons will deal with conditions that may need acute surgical intervention. Gastroenterologists will deal with conditions that need medical management and investigations such as endoscopy, such as painless jaundice, liver disease, IBD, upper GI bleeds, PEG complications.
